TRAINING

We specialize in a natural approach to horse training using gentleness, psychology, and body language. At Cobblestone Crossing we believe that horses should love learning, whether it is a foal being handled for the first time or an older horse brushing up on its manners.

The Cobblestone Crossing team seeks to optimize the physical and mental well-being of each horse under our care, taking into consideration that each horse is an individual with individual needs. We offer a wide variety of formats to make sure that both the owner and the horse are getting what they need out of the training process.

We want the owner to be a part of the training process, so we offer (and strongly recommend) a one hour private lesson per week with your horse as part of the training fee. We can only guarantee our training methods if the owner understands and learns to emulate them.

Ground Skills

$375 a month. Five sessions per week.
All horses need good ground manners. We can teach your horse everything he needs to become a solid citizen including leading with respect, trailer loading, clipping, tying, and standing still for the farrier.

Colt Starting

$450 a month. Five sessions per week.
A solid foundation sets the framework for a young horses entire life. A colt's first few rides are a process we take very seriously. To avoid stressing a young horse physically, mentally, or emotionally we prefer a sixty day format.

Problem Horses

$500 a month. Five sessions per week.
Unfortunately, everyone has known one...and you may own one. We can help you change your nightmare into your dream horse. We solve all sorts of negative behaviors such as bucking, rearing, bolting, biting, jigging, and kicking... all without force, fear, or intimidation.
